HibisQs® Care

Hibiscus rosa-sinensis, commonly known as the Chinese hibiscus, Hawaiian plant or HibisQs®, is a beautiful tropical plant that can thrive both indoors and outdoors. If you're looking to add some exotic flair to your garden or home, HibisQs® / hibiscus is the perfect choice. This beautiful plant loves sunlight, so make sure to place it in a bright spot with indirect sunlight/partly shaded. Water it regularly but be careful not to leave it in standing water - as it can lead to root rot. Fertilize the plant every 2-3 weeks during the growing season with a fertilizer that is high in potassium to encourage flowering. Keep an eye out for pests such as mealybugs or spider mites and take appropriate measures to remove them if necessary. With proper care, your Hibiscus can last for many years.

HibisQs® / hibiscus is also a great choice for a "summer bedding plant," with its large, brightly colored flowers that will add a touch of tropical beauty to any garden. For the best outdoor experience, we recommend planting your HibisQs® / hibiscus when the nighttime temperature is above 12°C (54 °F), and it will continue to bloom until the frost arrives. Keep in mind that the HibisQs® / hibiscus rosa-sinensis is not winter hardy, so it should be brought indoors or protected from the cold.

To plant your hibiscus outside in the ground, start by choosing a sunny location with well-draining soil. Dig a hole that is a bigger than the roots and loosen the soil in the bottom of the hole. Place the plant in the hole, making sure that the top of the roots is level with the soil surface. Backfill the hole with soil, gently pressing it down around the roots. Water the plant thoroughly just after planting. Water the plant regularly, keeping the soil moist but not waterlogged. If you are in a sunny location and don't have cold winters, prune your plant by removing any dead or diseased branches to help promote new growth. With proper care, your hibiscus will bloom beautifully for years to come.

Besides being a beautiful bedding plant, Hibiscus (HibisQs®) plants also thrive in warm, sunny spots like balconies, terraces, and courtyards. They look great in decorative pots, jars, or planted in beds in the garden. With a little care and attention, your Hibiscus will be a vibrant and beautiful addition to your garden.

We wish you joy and happiness with your HibisQs® purchase!
